Remove show from "Recently added..." list

Why can’t I remove a movie or TV show from the recently added list? I’m trying to convert my movies to a different format. So I copy the new format in with the old format so it won’t go on the recently added list but some bypass that and show up there anyway. Plex dance doesn’t correct it either. Add "Date Added" Field to Edit Menu for a Media File

Add a Date Added field to the edit section of any media file. [27%20PM] There’s “Originally Available” but nothing for Date Added that is easy to adjust within Plex Media Server. The only current way to do this is to use an sql database editor. Attempting this on a headless ubuntu server is nearly impossible.
