For ease of organization and sharing, I like creating curated photo sets from vacations or events in a .cbz format so it’s a self-contained file. Plex’s photo management is great for looking at raw photos contained in a folder tree, but I would really appreciate .cbz functionality so I don’t have to store thousands of individual file names.
There’s already a very popular existing feature suggestion which is discussing for Plex to support comics, books, PDFs incl. the formats you’ve mentioned in your suggestion. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
