Record single episode when "New Airings Only" schedule is already setup

I had an episode of a “New Airings Only” scheduled recording fail to record the other day. Another airing of the show came on a few hours later, so I tried to record it, but had absolutely no ability to do so because it was no longer considered a “New Airing”. This is incredibly inconvenient, as I am sure most can imagine. I’d really like the ability to go into a show that is not recording, and just click the “Record” button. Regardless if it is a part of a series recording or not.
