Currently, if you stop watching a video part way through, Plex will remember where you were and allow you to resume playback from that point. With audio files, this functionality doesn’t exist.
While this makes sense for the majority of music there are large categories of audio-only media that are largely unusable in Plex without this feature. These include:
- Audiobooks
- Podcasts
- Long DJ mixes, which can run for 1+ hours
I’m sure there’s more out there, too. I just can’t think of them.
NOTE: Well, whoops. I searched for topics similar to this and couldn’t find any for the life of me. Of course right after I post, I see them. I would delete the thread, but can’t find a way to do that.
