Features needed for servers

Hello everyone, i have a server using plex, and my suggestions are theses

1: need a more advanced permissions tab if we need to allow permissions to each person or user

2: have an option to only play origional movies or shows with option of conversion turned off, due to i have it change all the time and uses more bandwidth and resource when not needed to with everything setup no matter what i do it keeps doing it, drives me up the wall

3:the option to allow all users the ability to change there own pin codes and remove them if you have multiple usernames attached to the same account or ones who are invited or using it out of home

4: The Ability to download content from plex when there not admins if that user has been given permission to download the actual file, due to i have it set and none can download from it due to not the plex server owner/admin

5: the ability to give the server admin to family memebers if they need it, that will help alot due to if somthing needs to be changed atleast they can solve it for me

6: i would love to see plex recognise if the movie or show isnt english that it chooses a subtitle itself to convert or have an option that we can click on to help keep watching easy and enjoyable

im happy for other changes and including improvements when a client watches there side can actually crash which i dont have the logs for but anything to help with resource amount would help

otherwise its great, id like to thank all members and staff and managers and coders for a great streaming solution option

No idea what you’re suggesting / asking for. Would you mind elaborating?

This should be covered in the client – you can pick the video streaming quality for the client in general or while playing an individual item.

e.g. for Plex Web…

• general client settings: Settings > Plex Web > Quality

I believe this is currently already discussed in an existing feature suggestion.

Users can download media from your server into the mobile Plex apps (Android, iOS) as well as the desktop apps (Plex for Windows/Linux/macOS).
The Download File option is not related to the Download feature and on purpose only available to the server admin; if you want users to have access to the raw files, you probably might give them access to the underlying file share.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing that option.

Allow Managed User to have admin Privileges (edit/delete)

I would like to be able to give one (or more) of my managed users Admin Rights to be able to edit and delete videos from my library. Normally I would just give them the PIN for the “King” account, but due to the fact that there is photo backup for a few other accounts, so for privacy’s sake…I’d like to limit access to that account to only myself.

Again… no idea what you’re actually asking for / suggesting.
