Seems to be a problem for some users. When syncing a file (particularly song or album), sync gets hung up at 50%. I have found the option to select the audio quality, but why not allow original; like in Remote Audio Quality.

+1; highly supported. Otherwise real music enthusiasts can’t really use Plex, since there is always transcoding happening

Early 2021 clean-up: duplicate
Yesterday I bought PremPass so I could sync series and movies to my phone, but today I found out that due to Plex NEEDING to encode everything before it can sync, I am not able to sync to devices since my Synology DS213 does not seem to be able to transcode.
Since I am able to stream everything just fine without transcoding, I do not understand why transcoding is a MUST since it seems to be working without it just fine.
Therefore I'd like to be able to sync movies/series without transcod…
