Moving XBMC Plugin to Plex
[follw.it](http://follw.it) is one of the best community made/community driven sites for monitoring what TV shows/Movies you own/have watched/want to watch/etc... It's well done and works simply.

There are plugins for many of the most popular HTPC software ([http://follw.it/apps](http://follw.it/apps)), except Plex! I have been in touch with one of the creators of the site & the creator of the XBMC plugin - LRFalk - and he's in need of some info about Plex development if he's to help get started on developing a version for Plex (so that it syncs both ways).

**Is there a way for plugins/Services/Channels to get application event information from Plex?**

Thanks for any help - if there's some Wiki reading to get started, would love a link to that too so I can share...

Not currently, sorry - media server plug-ins don’t have access to information about media being played by clients.

Ah, no wonder he had problems... ha! Is this planned for an upcoming release?

It’s planned, yes, but probably won’t be available any time soon - it’s functionality we’ll get “for free” as part of a larger feature (and unfortunately larger features take longer to implement :)).
