Guess the Movie from a Quote

Oh man I know that I’ve seen this movie… Ugh!!! Wait… Is it the Shawshank Redemption?

Here's another good one....

Shawshank Redemption, when the corrupt superintendant warden welcomes the new inmates in his prison... Good movie!

Yup - you got it

Next:

Lets make a bargain. You ask God for help, and I'll stop the moment he shows up.

The Count of Monte Cristo. The Jim Caviezel version, when he first arrived at Chateau D'if (go to the 2:58 mark in the clip)

Next (substituting one word so as not to make it obvious)

"The (rules) were written in the law by man, certainly they can be unwritten."

This one might be tough.

Hint: The sequel to this movie is currently in theaters.

Just a guess, but the Hunger Games?

Close enough. The quote is from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Specifically, it is when Beetee (played by the perpetually underrated Jeffrey Wright) is being interviewed by Cesar Flickerman and asked his thoughts about former champions having to compete again. I can't seem to find a video clip, unfortunately. The full quote is:

"The Quarter Quell was written in the law by man, certainly it can be unwritten."

You're up, [member='kudos2013'].

An easy one... from one of my favourite films. I omitted the location mentioned to increase the difficulty slightly.

Person A: There's a river, not unlike this one, near [my hometown], where my grandfather taught me to fish.
"And the sea will grant each man new hope as sleep brings dreams of home". Christopher Columbus.

Person B: Welcome to the New World, sir.

"The Hunt for Red October"

Ramius and Ryan at the end of the movie...

You got it. Your turn.

"Frankly, I don't care if you live, die, or grow mushrooms in your crack."

Second Clue

"Nothing burps better than bacon. Your water looked tasty."

I think we are all stumped. Give us another one (movie, not clue).

The movie in question was Dutch (1991)

So for my next movie quote, I'm gonna choose any easy one.

"What if this is as good as it gets?"

Jack Nicholson - “As Good as it gets”

Ayup, your turn.

Thanks for the lively game, guys, I enjoy following!  :) Here's a clip from The Shawshank Redemption where the warden speaks a line that was asked for a couple of posts ago:

I believe in two things: discipline and the Bible. Here you'll receive both.

I love this movie... it's so iconic that Family Guy did an homage episode of it (this clip is cut together as a trailer with the original voices):

Since tbowe2 hasn't given us a quote, I'm gonna throw another one out there...

"I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!"

A hint?

"I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man!"

The original movie starred John Wayne. There was an very nicely done remake of this movie starring Jeff Bridges in 2010.
