Here are my "top 5" based on my IMDB rating of 10!
Pulp Fiction is my #1 movie. I've probably watched it 20 times.
On my IMDB ratings list I have only given four movies the perfect score (still waiting for the fifth one... ). So here they are, I will never order them in a specific order because they are all perfect!
* Pulp Fiction
* Léon
* Shawshank Redemption
* Reservoir Dogs
In no particular order
No Way Out - getting a bit dated but still a good watch
The Warriors
Miracle
History of the World, Part 1
Shawshank Redemption
and the guilty pleasure "bad movie" - Roadhouse
In no particular order :
GoodFellas
Pulp Fiction
Inglorious Basterds
Smokey & the Bandit
The Godfather
1 - The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
2 - The Godfather
3 - Pulp Fiction
4 - Evil Dead 2
5 - Django Unchained
1. The Green Mile
2. Black Hawk Down
3. Pulp Fiction
4. Léon
5. Reservoir Dogs
1. Fight Club
2. Inception
3. Tree of Life
4. Life of Pi
5. Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Man this is tough… Let’s try. Would be way easier going by genre!
My Favorite Movies. tough choice to pick the top 5. but here goes:
1. Heat (1995) Michael Mann is a genius director
2. The Thin Red Line (1998)
3. The Big Lebowski (1998) Coen brothers humor is 2nd to none
4. Se7en (1995)
5. Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels (1998). Guy Richie, while having a lousy taste in women can sure make a great flick
I could list over 50 strong favorites, My movie collection is about 1500 strong and contains a full 360 degree span of genres....
This is a toughie as my most watched movie is not what I would call the best. For me the best is what keeps me thinking about it long after i have watched it whereas the most most watched is just a movie that gives me instant pleasure for 2-3 hours.
anyway here goes...track em down if you can as you will be handsomely rewarded.
1. Ex Drummer (Belgium)
2. The Bothersome Man (Norway)
3. Its all gone Pete Tong (UK)
4. The Deep (Iceland)
5. Cafe de Flore (Canada)
Off the top of my head...
1. Star Wars
2. Shawshank redemption
3. Pulp Fiction
4. Matrix
5. Bull Durham
But I agree with the previous poster, that's subject to change in 10 minutes.
Pulp Fiction!
Pulp Fiction!
That's not a top 5 though... is there a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place?
It all goes fuzzy for me after that. Lots of great movies, but hard to order 2nd - 5th.
Personally I'm not a devout Tarantino disciple. He's a great screenwriter and director, and I like his ■■■■-movie-to-end-all-■■■■-movies Inglorious Basterds most from his filmography, but they're a bit too violent and vulgar for my taste, and the constant citations/imitations of all the foreign films that he watches are a bit too much. He is a master director though, definitely. And a writer-director. Not many directors write their own material.
Forrest Gump
Shawshank Redemption
Fight Club
American Beauty
The Green Mile
I have a soft spot for Top Gun that I don't like to admit :) Must have watched it 10 000 times as a child.
