TBS just released the new US Wipeout (2021) April 1, and since I have my DVR set to record “Wipeout” meaning “Wipeout (US / 2008)” it also recorded this show.
Since both shows in the episode guide are listed as “Wipeout” without a distinguishing year, how do I tell the DVR to record them in separate locations so they don’t overwrite each other? Doesn’t this need the episode guide to differentiate the shows in order for the DVR to do so?
I’d assume there are similar problems differentiating old vs new for other remade shows like Magnum P.I., MacGyver, etc.
I suppose I could go into the listings each week and create individual recordings for each episode and save the different shows to different libraries, but that’s a lot of work and looking for a less manual approach.
Anyone have any tips for how to manage this?
