I’m facing some issues with my Plex app on AppleTV latest generation.
All my movies are in MKV files and most of them are playable except some which can’t tell why !
whenever I press play it shows me this message :
Media Info:
my Plex media installed on my iMac i7
4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB Memory
3.12 TB
hope I can find out the reason since my iMac has high power it should be able
to play everything.
We will need your log files to see which codec is failing to download or faulting directly.
There are occasions when the codec download isn’t complete (usually network congestion).
Deleting the faulty codec and analyzing that piece of media again before playback resolves it.

Please turn off "Verbose’ logging … It shortens the duration of the log files to only minutes instead of days and makes debugging much harder per the blue sticky up top -------->
Right now, Plex.tv is denying permission due to excessive download attempts OR you are actually having connectivity issues to Plex.tv to get it.

Plex.tv limits the number of attempts to obtain the codec to 5x per hour.
This having been said, we need to find out why your server is making repeat requests for the same codec. It should only need it once.
Since you have authentication for the other users who are streaming, I doubt it’s the basic connection. They are also using the AAC codec so this is a confusion.
Further down your logs, players are streaming with AAC.
Please obtain the XML for the file which cannot be played. Let’s look at it (Hover over the item, click the ellipsis, ‘get info’, “view XML” and paste here with “Code” paragraph formatting of the whole block of XML ^^

first I looked everywhere for "Verbose’ logging to turn it off but couldn’t find it or how to do that!
second you need to know or ISP blocked plex.tv website so I was lucky enough to active the code on appleTV before all this happened and did it again via VPN … so do you suggest I should be signed out of plex media to it doesn’t try to connect to plex.tv site ?
as for XML whenever I click on it to takes me to a new white blank page !

if you’re getting a white page, that’s a browser issue. I use chrome and it looks like this:
In order to obtain codecs from Plex.tv , you must be signed into your Plex account. It will not permit anonymous download of codecs. This policy was implemented as of 0.9.17.0 when On-demand codecs were implemented.
If your ISP blocked Plex.tv, there is nothing we can do. However you manage to work around that is unfortunately for you to resolve.

Well after reading your post and understanding how plex media works based on download of codecs,
I decide to turn on VPN on my computer and guess what the file played like magic! it did take a bit while ( few seconds )
but it did play.
does this mean only at first ? or it need to get access each time I play this movie ? and why this particular one ?

Now that you have the particular codec, it will not need to get it again unless the transcoder team has to update the codec library.
The only ‘delay’ you should experience now is the local delay when your server starts transcoding and initially fills the output buffer enough to start streaming to the player.
Out of all that, All you were interested in was:

This is telling us it needed to take the AAC 5.1 and convert it, most likely to AAC stereo (2 channel)

Would you PLEASE turn off, uncheck, “Verbose” logging? (Settings - Server - General) and save the settings change.
This one is using he-aac versus aac. again, two different audio formats / needs.
This will take a bit more to reproduce why an issue. For that I do need ‘Verbose logging’ disabled.
All you need do, after disabling verbose logging, is start playback and let it play for 10 seconds. Stop it. Wait 20 seconds for everything to close down and write to the logs. Collect the logs again and post here.
FYI, you are getting good at posting logs and Xml (unfortunately)

and tired to play the file on AppleTV it didn’t play nether on Mac browser ( Plex Media )

On this one, There appears to be no discernible audio track name . The transcode decision is to copy audio and , perhaps interwoven ??, I see a transcode request for codec ‘none’. This can’t exist unless another stream is trying to play concurrently? Is this possible?

so long short story I have to re-encode it
already saw the show by stream app on mac called ( Beamer ) and it was perfect
just last thing I need to know:
since my ISP blocked plex.tv website and I hardly managed to get the code for appleTV app to work
is there anything I should consider to run VPN or plex app on AppleTV won’t need to access to plex website that much ?
and what is claim means ? keep asking me claim your server?
Yes, You’ll have to do that.
It appears you need to use the VPN. That said, you need to change system startup such that the VPN starts first and Plex second OR the VPN automatically starts and you manually start Plex after you log in.
If you don’t need to access Plex much, (meaning no sharing or no Plex Pass privileges), you can sign it all out of your Plex.tv account. You’ll only need to enable the VPN prior to adding new content. You should also go into your Settings - Server - Scheduled Tasks and disable all the refreshing of metadata

I’m not sure i’m its ok to post an issue here since you were very helpful 
I’m facing an issue with my Plex app on AppleTV it been working just fine all the time one year
but recently it start to logoff ! for no reason. I have two appleTV in house and first one start to log off and second (new) still working fine!
Here what is showing:

when it happened at first I deleted the app and reinstall it but here we are again same issue
for no reason !

now it says my Plex media is offline !
I tried to run VPN on my iMac Plex Media server and still it stops finding my plex media server from appleTV
what shall I do ?
