HDR Tone Mapping not compatible with HW Accelerated transcoding anymore (DS920+)

“Failed to get number of OpenCL platforms” tons of times.

GRRRRRR tone mapping and the Intel Media Diver.

Here’s one thing to try . It will isolate or confirm whether it’s the Intel Media Driver or not on the GeminiLake

1. Package Center - Install the “Text Editor” app if not already installed

2. Stop PMS

3. FileStation

4. Drill into PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server

5. Right-click “Preferences.xml” → Open with Text Editor

6. Editor window pops up

7. Go to the second line (the long one)

8. CONFIRM you do not already have a VaapiDriver="i965" preference in there.

9. Far right end, in front of the closing />,

10. INSERT VaapiDriver="i965" (leading and trailing space around the preference.
    – Looks like this:
    

    

11. SAVE the file (File → Save)

12. Exit

13. Start PMS

14. Test tone mapping.
