[Help Needed] My ISP uses CGNAT, Is there a way to setup Remote Access?

Hi!

Just found that my ISP not only pass to ipv6 but also change for CGNAT scenario :frowning:

Is there a way to bypass this so i can have remote access to the server?

System Info:

CPU: i5 3330 @ 3.0 GHz
Memory 8 Gb DDR3 Dual Channel @ 1333
Primary storage: Kingston 120 Gb SSD (OS in Same SSD of Plex Server)
Windows 10 Pro Build 1803
Plex-Media-Server-1.13.1.5063-b4605f76e (Plex Pass)
Modem: Technicolor TC7300b
IP in router: 100.100 type
seems that public ip is shared!?

Thx for any help

You can ask your ISP if they provide a public IP for an additional fee. Some CGNAT ISPs have that option.

They don´t :frowning:

Unfortunately not much you can do other than changing ISPs.

VPN? Any that works with plex?

You can try torguard.net

Hi @Achilles!

Torguard works

Just need some help from their support and all goes thru.

Glad it worked out for you.

My ISP upgraded their network recently, and it included a NAT addon. They mentioned to me, after I noticed this feature enabled via the remote server settings of Plex, that it is optional to change my ‘standard IP’ to a ‘dynamic IP’ in the login settings of their website. ISPs should really be giving people an option as to if they want the NAT/CGNAT enabled on their end or not.

Hi @SunnyDays

How can you check this? and are you in Brazil? If yes wich ISP?

THX,
Braz.
