I just purchased a new Synology DS920+ NAS to run as my Plex server. I am currently using a windows PC as plex server with 1,000’s of movies and TV shows.
Installed the Plex Beta App from the package store and spent 4 days copying over the movies and misc. to the shared folders I set up on the NAS.
If anyone can tell me how (or point me to a thread) that explains how to copy the metadata from my windows server to the Synology running DSM 7 so I don’t loose all the work I put into creating the metadata I would greatly appreciate it. There are many youtube videos out showing how to transfer metadata but none of those apply as they are for the older DSM 6 version which I never had installed.
