Hide the gear icon on smart collections

I’d love the option to disable/hide the gear icon that displays in the corner on smart collection posters? Is there a way to disable/hide the gear icon? It really ruins the look of posters and the interface, and often obscures text on posters, etc. It feels completely unecessary to see this after you’ve set the collection up.

The gear serves as a distinction between smart and dumb collections. Which is necessary to remind the user of the fact.

Because otherwise one might be confused about this:
Smart collections will auto-update if the original filter conditions are no longer fulfilled by existing items or are fulfilled by newly added items.

Once set up, having a gear icon on the poster in your collections list seems like unnecessary bloat. Once set up properly, most users are unlikely to care that the collection they are entering to view the contents of is from a Smart collection vs a manually set up collection.

To modify the contents of a collection (smart or otherwise), I’d still enter the collection and THEN I think the gear icon to display it’s custom status should be displayed.

Yep, totally agree, the icon serves no useful purpose in the main view. Having it appear only when clicked into would work much better and would avoid any confusion as suggested by the moderator.

If it only appeared when a collection was opened it would be much more useful and would avoid any confusion. The gear icon serves no useful purpose in the main view, and aesthetically looks awful.

Well, this doesn’t affect me much, but this has my vote (I don’t vote often). Seems like an obvious change to me, so I’ll + it.
