Is it just me or a home created user can’t access my friends plex server anymore?
I was able to access using a user I created on home before the latest update of the android app as well as on my iPhone device. My friend’s plex server is only visible on the main user on the Plex server.
Did they remove this capability?
This was never before possible.
Your friend sharing his server with you doesn’t automatically imply that he is also sharing with all your family as well.
You’d have to create ‘real’ plex accounts for your family and ask your friend to share explicitly with them.
But I can access it before though. How did it became possible on mine before though. My friend even saw which home user was using his server.
I can only imagine that somehow this user had joined your own Plex Home, and he now has left again.
But my friend’s server is in Canada though.
Geography doesn’t play a role here. The Plex Home can theoretically have users and servers distributed over the globe
