Hello there, I built the computer where I run my Plex server about 8 years ago, I have divided my music libraries into different categories like Jazz, Female, male, etc and identified all of my music files with their specific audio formats. The movie library has also been arranged for posters of my liking etc, etc. After spending hundreds of hours refining my big movie, music, concerts and tv catalogs, is there a way to keep a secured version of my Plex server saved somewhere in case my computer goes Kaput?

Make sure that plex server is shut down while making the backup copy.
Thank you for your quick response.
I routinely back up my Plex Media Server Data in 2 seperate hard drives, is this enough to transfer my plex to a new computer?
Yes it will be. But again as Otto mentioned, making sure Plex is not running when you make those backups is critical.
If you are also separately backing up your media files, then yes.
If your server is running on Windows, don’t forget the registry branch as described in the article.
Excellent, I keep cloned hard drives of all of my media files.
Thank you both.
