How do I add custom DVBT/T2 tunings?

I am trying to scan UK Oxford transmitter, but even if I use the full UK DVBT scan option, it does not pick up any HD channels. I know that the signal is fine as I can use NextPVR on the same machine and it gets all of the HD channels. I suspect there is a missing transponder in the list.

Is it possible to add my own to a configuration somewhere so I can ask Plex to scan the correct frequencies?

EDIT: I believe we’re missing 682.0mhz
2nd EDIT: I’ve found the transponders files in /lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Tuner/Shared/scanners/dvbt/transponders and they do contain 682, so I’m confused as to why it’s not being picked up.

I created a new INI file in transponders:
[SATTYPE]
1=4801
2=TEST
3=GB

[DVB]
0=3
1=681833,8
2=682000,8
3=682167,8

But still no signal. With NextPVR it picks up all the channels from this frequency.

Are you using a supported tuner?

Yes, a Hauppauge WinTV Dual HD. I believe I’ve got it working fine driver wise as NextPVR is showing all the channels.

Sadly I’ve seen on the reddit r/Plex channel that there are others with this issue, so perhaps it shouldn’t be marked as a supported tuner.

Really annoying as this is the final thing I want to get working in order to switch off my Mediaportal TVServer VM!

Thank you that was really informative, it does seem I’m running a kernel that wouldn’t be supported yet. I may go do a test install on an older kernel to see if that solves it for me.

Really appreciate your help, thanks.

@pl35940 I think this is your issue too (sorry I couldn’t reply to your post directly).
