How do I get a refund?

Yesterday I purchased Plex lifetime, thinking that the app would run fine on my iPhone 6 Plus. It does not. I have everything set up correctly on the server side, but when I launch the app now, it hangs at the startup screen for a long while, then it crashes to the background. I’ve discovered that by uninstalling and then reinstalling the app, it works one time. But upon loading again, it hangs. What’s worse, it causes other apps on my iphone to become unstable, and I have to reboot the iPhone!

I don’t have time for this stuff. That’s why I use Apple (“it just works”). I’m a busy person. I would like to request my $149 back, please.

I sent email to ‘plexpass@plex.tv’ and ‘plexpass-billing@plex.tv’ but have heard nothing in response. I would prefer not to do a chargeback but will if I have to. I like the promise of the product but it doesn’t work.

Thanks.

There is also a support page for managing your subscription:
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201580107-Plex-Pass-Subscription-Management

Cancel Your Subscription
You can use the cancel your subscription link to cancel an active subscription. Doing so will stop any recurring payments. You will retain access for the remainder of the current subscription period. (e.g. If you’re on a monthly subscription and you cancel halfway through your month, you will retain access for the duration of that month for which you’ve already paid.)

If you do cancel the subscription, the Subscriptions page will list the ending date for the subscription as well as offer the ability to restart it before it expires.

Note: Subscriptions started through iTunes via our iOS or Apple TV apps can only be managed through iTunes, see this (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039)

The volume is too low on Plex Media Player, even when turned up in the settings. No support? Fine, then no money!

I’ve spent hours trying to find workarounds but have given up and now just use VLC and play my MKV files locally.

I was running Plex on a PC but my friends with Macs experienced the exact same issue. The default settings for something as basic as sufficient volume should just work. We shouldn’t have to troubleshoot anything.

It looks like it’s a widespread issue that hasn’t been addressed for quite a long time and I have now lost confidence in the product, so I’m uninstalling. What a pity. I’m sure the developers can recreate this issue quite easily, seeing as every single installation I have seen, both Mac and PC, suffers from this problem.

I’ll also be perusing a refund and doing a MasterCard charge-back if necessary.

good to see that at least YOU did look to get support before abandoning ship.
if you open a thread describing your actual problem, you might actually get some help. btw… this is the internet – don’t believe everybody just because they claim it’s a “widespread issue”.

when using Plex Media Player… check out Settings > Audio > Normalize Downmixed Volume

Normalize Downmixed Volume
When downmixing from surround (5.1) to stereo channels, Plex Media player will try to normalize the volume to make the quieter sounds more audible. If you hear distortion you can try disabling this.

I would want a refund of $4.99 I per chase today it didn’t work on my TiVo so please give me a full refund Thank You.

Your email has been removed. You need to contact the billing dept if you want to request that. https://www.plex.tv/contact/?option=plex-pass-billing
