Is the system configured for systemd or init ?
When developing the new installer, Devuan was one of the development testing platforms. It will and does work on Devuan.
What does the contents of /tmp/plexinstaller.log show please?
My system is configured for init.
The /tmp/plexinstaller.log is empty

Using the find command, I just found and removed every plexmediaserver file or directory on my system.
Can you point me to a complete procedure for installing plexmediaserver on a Devuan system?
Could this be an opportunity for Docker?
Docker is not necessary; it would be overkill. Devuan with SYSV-init is supported natively..

Once installed, it is clear Plex is running natively on the host.
For some reason the dpkg install did not work before.
But I tried this, and it seems to work.
Seems? It will work or it won’t.
As for the “XML” page, I see you did what we all often do
, the /web on the URL is necessary to invoke the Plex/Web client. (thinking “Plex/web” helps me to remember the “/web” part)
I try not to assume everything is good, just because things are working at the moment.
I think it’s save to say, it is working.
Although, older versions of plex-media-server seemed to work better. The older versions streamed more smoothly, and had a better interface.
