I am a PlexPass user but I have so far only used it for myself. Now I am gonna setup family sharing in the house, and I want to setup own users for my two sons of different age. Adding them is no issue, I make a user with each of their names, but my own name was made with a "nick" long time ago, and I'd like to change it to my normal name. Is that possible, or am I stuck with my nick from long ago?
I think you can change your username here (never tried it myself, just an educated guess).
Hey. Yeah, I can change my username, but it is very unlikely that my first name is free as a nick in Plex, so I was wondering if there was a way to make an "alias" or something that would show up in the "choose user", so that it don't show my nick there, but rather my first name, like the ones I used for my sons.
There isn't currently a way to alias the Plex.tv accounts. There is a Feature request in the Plex Pass section if you were so inclined to go vote for it however. :)
I have the exact same issue, I don’t want my internet nickname to show up on my TV alongside my family members’ first names, it doesn’t make sense, but 3 years laters, I still can’t find a way !
Where is that feature request ? Does it still exists ? I tried to find it without luck.
I also want to jump on the band wagon with supporting this change. I originally used Plex for myself way back when, now that my family is using it I want to change my name to just Dad.

I second this. If there’s a feature request out there could I get a link to show my support.
