How to transcode MPEG2 stream?

Of course. Because they know the problem just like us. Mpeg-2 is worthless in the modern world.

That doesn't help anyone now, or later for existing HDHomeRun Prime devices. Also, I'm willing to bet that when those ship, the transcoding will come via DLNA and that's it. Not simple HTTP.

I’m so excited about this. If you get to the point of needing some one to help test, I’d be beyond willing!

Some progress on my Ceton/HDHomeRun + Plex channel :)

Still needs some more changes. Only tested on iPhone/iPad so far (the channel is using hls files from the server).

I'm guessing the desktop clients dont support hls? I need to make some changes for those clients.

Hopefully I'll get around to it sometime this weekend...

Hi Mike, without any intention to hijack this topic, I was wondering whether your pugin/channel could be used/adapted also for other machines based on Enigma2, such as Dreamboxes...

Sending you a pm.

Hey guys, I know it's been a long time, but I finally posted my project for transcoding HDHomerun Prime streams into HLS streams that are consumable by practically any modern device.

I've been using it for a while and it's pretty solid. Check it out:

I have wallop running on my mac and can view channels pretty well with my iPhone/iPad. A couple of questions:

1) Any way to get guide data to show up? Perhaps via schedulesdirect?

2) How do you add a Plex channel??

There’s no immediate plans for schedulesdirect support. The idea behind Wallop is more about tuning into something you know is on, not for browsing TV. It’s about making what you alteady know is in is accessible.

how do you add a Plex channel?

This will be up to someone that uses Plex. Wallop was built to drive things like Plex channels, but will never actually handle it directly.

That being said, making a plex channel should be pretty simple. All you have to do is browse it and send the streaming URL that Wallop gives you to Plex.

I've been using wallop with multiple Roku clients (NOT THROUGH PLEX) for a while now and love it. It would be great to see a channel plugin written for plex. Is anyone working on this?

I have a publicly accessible wallop server setup for someone to use to test.

HDSurfer looks promising but currently it only works on one client at a time.
