Yes. But only for the “Album Artist”. This won’t catch tracks by an artist which appear only on sampler-style albums.
So I can or can’t create a smart playlist for grateful dead that I’ve starred 4 or 5 while listening to them…I’m confused lol just found out about smart playlists sorry
I thought the screen shot tells you how to do just that.
That didn’t work it put all tracks in a smart playlist…34,000 songs lol
Then you forgot the define the filter criteria.
There are 2: one is the artist name, the other is the requirement that ‘Track Rating’ has to be greater than 3 stars.
I’m sorry if I missed it somewhere else in this thread, but is there a way to make a Smart Playlist of Music Videos?
I know I could manually add them to various playlists. But, I’d prefer an “All Music Videos” Smart Playlist that automagically updated when I added new Music Videos.
This is unfortunately not possible.
Thanks for the answer Otto. Not the answer I wanted, but at least I now know I didn’t just miss something

Is it possible to create a smart playlist containing songs greater than a certain length?
some albums i purchase from bandcamp contain an album mix. i was hoping there would be a way to easily put these in a playlist for long trips
Since the play length of a medium is not among the available filters in Plex, no that is unfortunately not possible.
In my attempt to create a Christmas Album Smart Playlist I’m getting all albums of any artist that has only one Christmas album out of multiple albums or only one track within a greatest hits album with genre of Christmas.
For instance, Darius Rucker’s Home for the Holidays is obviously a Christmas album, but it’s returning results for all his albums.
The Very Best of Dean Martin album has one Christmas song “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, but returning all his albums.
Here’s example of one metadata from one song on Home For the Holidays.

Plex doesn’t store genre per track, but only per album. So that, unfortunately, is the finest you can filter by.
Thank you for replying.
Sucks track genre’s aren’t supported. For instance, on the same album I can think of many examples where track genre’s would be different.
Examples of various tracks from 3 different artists.

I’m doing a christmas smart list as well, but I had Christmas as the track mood. I am still not able to create a smart list. I can only play it as a mood which gives me the ones with every rating instead of the ones with a higher than 3 rating. I guess track mood doesn’t work in the filter.
So here’s my question I have a smart playlist of the entire arrowverse set up by air date. So if I’m watching it say I’ve seen the first 3 episodes and I come back to the playlist later and hit play all it just starts me back at episode 1. Is there a way for the playlist to remeber where I left off without having to scroll down through a bunch of videos
It’s explained in detail here Watch crossover episodes of several series in-order how to set it up.

I have read all of this but despite following instructions, I have failed to create a smart playlist using the filters. What we really need is a step-by-step tutorial. Also I do not see what has been called a “collections” option anywhere.
Can anyone please help.
