html5 and finding video source

When you are lucky enough to find the video sources for a website, and I plug that video url into firefox. I know that this is the movie source (ends in mp4). Should this video play in firefox?

Firefox doesn't support the H.264 videocodec (in the html5 video tag) that's probably used for that .mp4 file. But if you find the path to the .mp4 file, a Plex plugin should be able to handle it.

so when I get mp4:/xxx.mov, I find the base and send that to VideoItem?

That looks more like the clip part of a streaming video (RTMP). Do you have an example page where we can look at?

yeah, it probably is. It’s abc.com. I thought they had moved to HTML5, but I think they are still with move networks.

I think they're using Flash now. Have to check on another machine with a VPN connection to be 100% sure though.

I just had a look. It does look like they've moved away from the Move plugin, pure flash now.

They still host through the move networks though. at least that's what my browser was doing.

Here’s what I have so far if anyone else thinks that they can take it on home.

Hey Harley,
Nice work on the "potatoes," here's some "meat." ;)

Rock on dbl_a, thanks for the help. First time that I haven’t had to make a site config. Wow. I’ll fix up the art, and submit this and abcfamily, which is now completable, this weekend. Now Plex has all of the major US content providers. Great Job Dbl_A!

got new artwork and modified for abcfamily too. I’ll be putting them up on github tonight.

Hey harley… I installed both ABC and ABC family bundle. they both show up in plex and ABC works completely, but when I go into family one all the show come up (and appear to be updated), but when selecting one of them, they do not go anywhere. Just stays on that page. any idea if i need to install something else or how to get that one working? thanks

the fixes are here:
