Is it a recent thing sander1? My plugins used to work, so I’m assuming it is. Also is there a timeline of a fix?

It wasn’t an issue until 4.x releases… I used it just fine previously. I hope you can figure it out soon, super convenient to have. Thx for letting us know that you’re aware.
So would your plugin work for hls streams that use cookie authentication? I’m currently looking for a solution to get some streams working on my roku, and using plex seems like the simplest way.
Sure seems like given that workaround solution, that Plex can fix this simply with a media server update, and not even need to update the App… I hope this happens soon.
FWIW, pretty much the same line for transcoding HLS is in the Android profile xml file.
So it seems a fix in the apps would be more appropriate.
Well, sadly another app update and server update and this issue remains unfixed. Grr!
Dear Plex, this issue isn’t going to just go away on it’s own… please finally address this! This should’ve been fixed long before new features like lyrics…
