I wrote a program that edits the database based on my folder structures to give me personalized genres and collections. I can finally have back the genres that I want. It’s great to have especially this time of year as I can see all of my holiday movies all in one place.
For example here’s my “Seasonal” and “Christmas TV Specials” genres:
If anyone is interest in how it works this is an overview that shows examples on what is needed in the folder structure to generate the genres and collections:

It’s a bit of works getting it all in place, but when it’s done you’ll have your own customized set of genres and collections. Once you have everything in place the program scans the folders and generates the appropriate genres and collections. You can always make changes and re-scan.
