+1, just moved from Google Music to Plex finally and this is the single biggest missing feature for me. It will sit at the top of my home screen if it exists. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this.

Agreed. HOPEFULLY it’s somewhere in that small $$$$ 50 million of funding they recently announced. Don’t spend all of it in one place, boys!

Yes definitely! I have widgets for every music player except Plex Amp. I even have widgets for random stuff like my little Bluetooth grilling thermometer.

Having a widget for Android feels like the perfect icing on an already amazing cake. I really enjoy the PlexAmp app already, but would love to have a widget for quicker access to my music on the fly.

I like that in Android, its in my notifications menu but having a widget that shows on lock screen would be perfect.

Ugh, spent so much time cleaning up my music collection for plexamp use, only to find that there is no widget. 
Any updates on this?
+1 as I use widgets on Phone and it would be nice touch.
I’m also surprised this isn’t added. Many people asking for what shouldn’t have to be asked for as it’s a pretty basic feature. Years go by, no response from Plex. This is unfortunately a very formulaic tale at this point.
Plexamp is cool, works well, and is fairly feature-rich. Except for this one glaring exception. I’m going to have stick with Poweramp as my daily driver. Yes that still means encoding, tagging, importing manually…sigh…in 2022. Widgets are nice to have. Poweramp has had widgets for, what, a decade? Come on Plex…
I’m definitely for the addition of a widget. While it’s easy enough to click an icon, and plexamp appears quickly, it’s still an additional action that shouldn’t be required. A dedicated homescreen widget, (resizeable to fill at least half of the screen) with all of the beauty of the main app (album art & visualizers included?), would be quite nice
