DVR Configuration
Plex Server on Windows 10 with a Hauppauge WinTV-quad HD tuner and IceTV (Australia) EPG subscription. I’ve had this configuration running well since switching over to Ice TV in July this year.
Side note: Being in Australia, I don’t have access to a free, out-of-the-box, over-the-air EPG guide for Plex so I opted for an ICE TV subscription after having limited success with the free alternatives. ICE TV provide an accurate, 7-day, curated guide, which is pretty good, but I’m still very jealous of my Plex peers who don’t have to pay for an EPG.

Observations
I’m able to see the EPG a week out on the Plex Media Server Web UI and can schedule shows within this 7-day window. In my mind, this confirms the DVR configuration is working well. This is also true for the Plex for Windows app.
However, for the Android and Android TV Plex apps, I can only see the EPG for the next 24 hours and can schedule from the EPG only within this window. There doesn’t appear to be a way to select the other six days.
See the first screenshot below of the Plex EPG guide on my Android phone. Notice that TODAY in the top left-hand corner is greyed out so it’s not possible to select other days. This is true for the Android TV as well. Referring to the second screenshot, curiously, ‘Recommended’ does suggest shows a week out that can be recorded. This suggests that the Android client is aware of the full 7-day EPG so I would be confident in reconfirming the DVR configuration.
While I can live with this, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect to be able to record shows from the EPG up to a week in advance on the Android TV, or, in the moment, to be able to do the same when I’m away from home using my phone to remotely set up a recording on the DVR. I should add that these are the platforms I would naturally gravitate towards for watching TV and setting up recordings. Watching TV on a PC is not a usual practice for me.
Have I missed something, or is there a bug in the Guide section of the Plex Android apps?
