I love the new collections overhaul, but I’ve noticed a lot of the movies I don’t have sequels for are being grouped into 1-movie collections. It would be nice to be able to turn on collections when there are greater than 1 (bonus: or any user-set amount) movies in the collection.
Oh yes… necessary.
Workaround in the meantime: You can edit and empty the collection field for those “unwanted” collections and lock that field by doing so.
Definitely ! Hide 0/1 movies collections and show single collection movies as movie instead.
This is sorely needed! Just automatically hiding single-item collections from inline viewing would be great.
This would be super nice.
I am at my voting limit, but I would definitely like to see this.
Hide collections automatically with less than 2 films should be normal setting.

Possibly a better work round you can edit a collection and select to hide it from library. This maintains the collections in case you latter add another film from the same collection.
This is true, but if I loose track of what I hid and what not, I will miss those where another film is added later to the collection.
This really must be an easy thing to add.
“show collections for movies with more than x items in it” (where x can be 0, too).
Absolutely. This is currently very awkward.
DING DING DING
You would have hoped that this would have been a part of the feature before it rolled out. I understand that some specific collections might benefit from this (“007 James Bond” collection with “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” as the only movie in it, “Jack Ryan”, “Sherlock Holmes” would be others).
At least make it a checkbox offering to eliminate useless 1–movie collections.
It would be great if we could set it to automatically hide the single item collections, that would make this feature a lot more interesting to just show multi movie sets.
Anyone???
I hope this is being worked on. I would imagine it would be an easy fix to give us this option.
This feature is still needed!
Bump. Please add this!
Here is a python script that uses the python-plexapi and requests libraries to remove any collection that has less than 2 items in the collection. I only tested my Movies library as I don’t use collections for any library. Just change the number from 2 to 1 to remove 0 sized collections
This is not a great solution. When you DELETE a collection you are deleting the COLLECTION TAG from the movies in that collection. So when a second movie does show up, the earlier movie lacks the tag to make it part of the building collection.
I use the HIDE ITEMS WITHIN COLLECTION in certain libraries. Then all you see is a COLLECTION regardless of it containing 1 or 40 movies. However if a movie belongs to multiple collections, it will not get hidden when the collection hides the rest.
Good to know. Would refreshing the metadata for the library or show level re-add the collection tag? Or Analyze the library for that matter? Dancing with the library’s agents? I would think that there would be a way to fetch the tags again.
Please add this option. Collections are a great feature but without this option they are more annoying than useful.
