It will very likely happen in some fashion due to the amount of people that have voted on this. When is another matter. They never give out any dates. Very rarely even a rough estimate.

i'd love to finally get rid of XBMC, which I'm using because of subtitles

Otherwise it would be great if for example when the library is automatically updated, the subtitles for tv show episodes without any, and not older than X weeks are retreived.

Its Very anoying to have to go out of plex client and manualy download subtitles. (and the testing from several subtitles sites )
XBMC has a great plugin solution for that.

I wonder if XBMC subtitle downloader could be made to run on PMS? It is frequently updated and supports pretty much all services available.
So, basically when download is triggered in a client script is run on PMS and a list with results is handed over to a client.
