I’m located in Central US and I just received notification that my account had been logged into from Malaysia. I appreciate the notification, but is 2FA coming? Seems like these days you can have a great password but your password is only as strong as the other passwords or security measures protecting it. Interactive login is a must. Please implement 2FA.
I’d like this feature too. Google Auth would be just fine.

Today every simple Webapp supports 2FA but not Plex. This is a must! And please implement Fido aswell since we are all much too lazy to type in those codes every time. Thanks

For the record, U2F/FIDO2 is 2FA too. You might mean TOTP is broken or SMS is broken. 2FA isn’t a specific technology, it simply means that you have more than one source for information for authentication.

+1 for 2fa and ways to keep our servers more secure. With this much customer interest, isn’t it just a liability issue for Plex? When you get hacked (not if, when – ask Equifax) won’t your failure to implement this relatively low overhead feature be negligence?

We need two factor authentication…preferably app based…it is 2019…even origin has 2FA now…and it is cyber security month their wrote your promo copy for you plex people…
