Iāve been watching this thread for what feels like 2 years. Until Plex getās well and truly hacked at large scale they wonāt expend the dev time to implement this. Itās time I started looking for another solution. Anyone got any ideas? I gave Emby a shot but the UI both in Web and Roku was a nightmare and epileptic inducing(constant image refresh).
We need this. Please do this!
Please Plex devs, your product is wonderful and works fantastic BUT 2FA is a must have, no matter what way you want to do it, phone number, sms text, authentication app, I donāt care but it is a must in the world we live in today! PLEASE make this happen this year or I do think you will start loosing customers.

2FA in 2019 should be mandatory
I would love to see this. Just noticed someone was streaming off my account who i never approved. This would have prevented that.
To be somewhat fair here, if you use a Google account to authenticate, you can enable a wide variety of MFA options (including the very best, a physical usb key).
But that still doesnāt excuse the lack of native MFA support from the Plex team. Get it together guys, please. This is a critical feature.

Off your own account?? You might want to change your password and sign out of all devices.

Didnāt get any email of an invite being sent/accepted.
First thing I did was boot the user who was actively streaming, and changed my password.
If you see it again I would chage the password and sign out of all devices and contact plex directly.

Two factor/multifactor authentication has become a standard across online account to prevent ATO, brute force logins, and many other security issues, including inappropriately secured api endpionts. Plex Pass is a paid service, and honestly I would expect plex to begin offering this as an account protection feature. I am sure these sentiments are reiterated many times in this thread, but also wanted to add my +1ā¦

Account security should be a top priority for Plex Inc., canāt believe this request has been open for 4 years! Lets make this happen before X-Mas 2019.
