This would be a welcome addition, we finally have SSL, now onto two factor authentication
I never thought of this. This is a great idea! I agree, something like 2-Factor-Auth. with Plex is needed especially when dealing with personal pictures/videos and with personal media stored and managed with Plex.
Lets go plex team! This is more important than half the features that are requested.
This should be at the top of the list for Plex!
PLUS 1 definitely need this!!!
+1; Count me in
Now wondering, how many 3.Party tools will break, if this was implemented
/T
Totally need this now that the RELAY is always turned on and we got no way to stop remote access to the server⦠(I had a firewalled server with direct access only to certain IPs)

It current releases, if you turn off Remote Access, then Relay is turned off too.

Note sure if you have, but it is recommended that you like the first post in this thread.
Yes, please. Two-Factor authentication is a must these days.
I agree, two factor would be welcome.
I am unclear if the email I received this morning from haveibeenpwned.com that my plex account information appeared in balockae.online. Checking the details, this was not the forums password since it includes server IPs and the salted passwords.
As a precaution I changed my password, but I would totally welcome two factors
Iām surprised itās taken this long. Fingers crossed.
As someone whoās account was hacked recently and deleted, I really like this idea. I went ahead and voted it up.

I donāt think this is a good excuse to sit there and do nothing,
There are way to make this secure and still user friendly,
Just lest resume what happen if you password is. Stolen
1 You privacy can be violated by leaking content such as your children photos (if you use camera upload for example)
2 one can enable the option to allow Plex to delete file and in 2 click your entire library no longer exists, which most people here took Years to put it together
3 Lest say someone with plex life pass get his account stolen and then his account deleted ?, I am sure plex support would be able to assist in this case (I hope) however itās better to prevent them cure afterward donāt you think?
Iām honestly surprised that this wasnāt a thing after the security breach last year.

/agree not a simple task.
Though for 3rd party stuff that depend on plex credentials could use an Application Specific Password like Google does.
Authy would be a great option for this. Iām not a fan of email two factor.
