In process recording, will not play from beginning

I KNOW this used to work…

Recording the Macy’s TDay Parade, from 8:00 to 11:00 AM on CBS, Channel 4, and trying to start a playback during the show’s scheduled time. On multiple clients, when selecting this channel for playback while the recording is proceeding, the playback starts at the current point in time, with the playback pointer showing up in the middle of the bar. I am not receiving the expected watch current or start from beginning. I’m also not able to rewind back to the beginning.

Given that multiple clients all exhibit the behavior, I’m suspecting a server side issue.

And stranger…

As of this morning, I checked during an extended length recording (F1 practice, all Formula1 events record for an extra 2 hours.) I’m getting the watch current or watch live dialog box on both a Roku client and a web client (just goes back to the beginning of the current show, not all the way back to the start of the recording.)

This has to be related to some technical detail of the recording itself.

Yeah I have the same problem. I can watch 60 Minutes during recording and have the ‘Start from the beginning’ option but I have to wait for my local news to finish before I can watch. Really annoying.

I’m not technically challenged, if you tell me what to look for I can probably do it.
