Install Trakt.tv scrobbler on Plex on QNAP

Seems like the WebTools method of installing Trakt.tv is no longer valid?

How does one install trakt.tv scrobbling on Plex installed on a QNap NAS? I can’t seem to find any clear instructions here or at Trakt.tv or via google searches.

they have totally nerfed it, data can only be sent to trakt plex stonewall refuses a 2 way sync which essentially means they have totally destroyed an awesome feature
