integrate google images search to fix missing covers

Hello there,

I would love to find a way to search google images directly from the plex web interface.
The premium library scanner does a great job, but still, covers are missing.
In most of the scenarios, googling the album name finds me a cover. Therefore, it would be great if someone know a script, or anything, that could enable that in the plex web interface…

The same kind of feature do exist in other products like subsonic, where the “change” button under a cover let you browse google images, select the cover, and upload it to the DB.

If we add the missing covers in http://www.themoviedb.org then be available to other users and enrich the database is the main source for Plex, because Freebase is dead.

robot2xl. I think you misunderstood me here. :wink:
I do request for a feature to be able to google image search covers for music albums.

The movies posters are usually really easy to find automatically thanks to themovieDB.
