Roku is my primary client for Plex. What I'd like to see is for Plex to integrate with Roku's Global Search. When you use the Global Search, it will check all of the services (Amazon, Vudu, etc.) for your movie or whatever. If it would also search my Plex library, my wife and kids would not rent movies we already have.

Not something Plex can do.
it is not actually searching each channel, all the compatible channels give their listings to Roku which stores it all on central servers.
1) you would have to give all your library data to Roku
2) Roku would then have to build a search that works "just for you"
As soon as the UI update rolled out to the older devices, this new search thing was the first thing I checked (after playing with themes :) ).
Immediately shook my fist at Roku for doing a bait and switch: It's not so much a feature as it is a marketing machine, and it's obvious that they would keep that system closed.
Too bad. I imagine then they would get a cut of the revenue. Doesn't help their customers though. Thanks for the feedback!
