Would love to have full support of Yamaha Musiccast.
It is an excellent multiroom alternative to Sonos and even plays lossless music.
Spotify is already integrated and works pretty fine (except of the moderate sound quality).

Second this feature request, time for Plex to start supporting the high-end a bit
I would also love to see this
Would prefer that Plex clients sync up; this would make the Raspberry Pi an absolutely killer client combined with a DAC.
As musiccast is related to DLNA, maybe the DLNA control point feature request would (at least) partly solve this issue: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/47113/plex-as-dlna-control-point/p1
By the way: Some people on the public forum also would like to see that feature: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/228397/feature-request-or-development-request-musiccast-integration#latest
I would also like to see Plex work well with MusicCast. It’s the best system for music IMO hands-down.
Musiccast is a great System many home cinema owners have! Please support it!
SONOS is expensive as hell. Yamaha is a good alternative. Musiccast suport on Plex apps is a must!
This would complete Plex in my home. There are really no good wireless music streaming systems on the market, IMO. I’m not a fan of Sonos because it’s so limited. I’d rather not have a smart speaker eavesdropping in my home so that knocks out just about every other option. I have considered just getting a Chromecast Audio to hook up to a Musicast but then I’d need to use two apps to control it… one for the wireless speaker system and the other for the content. One of the best parts about Musicast is their wireless amps so you can hook up ANY speakers to it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make this happen!
Then audio book support.
Second this, MusicCast instead of DLNA as this functionality is very poor, not even a search available…
upvote. I have a lifetime plex pass, please add Yamaha MusicCast support
Yes I would love this feature too, Plex via DLNA is very limited as it doesn’t play apple lossless files, or Plex playlists and basic search is missing!
I have been hoping for this feature for 12 months now. Please put this on the PLEX roadmap.
Upvote Yamaha MusicCast support. Would be a great feature!
Agree - using the Plex app to cast to MusicCast would be so much better than the basic DLNA support for the Plex Media Server on the MusicCast app. Please add this feature.
In the last years, there’s been so many added “features” that don’t make any sense. Sonos is supported (makes perfect sense), but why still not MusicCast? I’ve been hoping for this for quite a while and DLNA, as many stated before, just doesn’t work right with Plex. For the moment I worked around this with a different DLNA server, but how ridiculous is having a “total solution” media library, if I have to create it twice. Not my idea of “total” at all!. So AGAIN, please Plex, make some effort to finally implement MusicCast. It can’t be that hard.
My DLNA works with MusicCast, but it simply isn’t as nice as writing within PLEX. This is especially true when all of my PLEX home members also use MusicCast. I would love to see support added.
Plex is a good Media Player, but the lack of integration with Yamaha Musiccast has restricted its usefulness, I stream high quality audio when | am too busy to listen to Vinyl or CD, and although it is possible to work around, it is annoying, and nowhere near as flexible as the Plex Music Player… Plex is magic for listening to my music on the move through blu-tooth, but I find the loss of definition at home annoying, so use alternative less flexible players, when at home.
If the integration to Musiccast, could be made, it would make a good Media Player Great, and almost indespensible
Yes yes yes! Add me to this request list. Don’t let this thread die!
In the same boat as everyone else. It’s turning me towards using iTunes off a single Mac that can stream to all of my Yamaha speakers via AirPlay. The Apple “remote app” is no where as good as Plex, but it does let me achieve multi room speaker listening. I would very much prefer Plex though.
