It would be great if plex could somehow implement an into Skip. If it is too much work to automatically do it for well known TV shows, then perhaps the feature can be set manually by users on a per show basis. Do something like set a certain frame or a few frames in a row that when detected, the user has the option to hit skip and it will skip “x” amount of time in the video being played. How much it skips would also be set manually by the user on a per show basis since the time each into lasts for rarely changes between seasons of a show.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
