I have been noticing that all of my iPhone videos stored in the default “Home Videos” category on Plex (Other Videos) folder, are now playing sideways. They used to play with black bars on each side in the correct orientation. NOW, they are all playing but are completely stretched out to fill the screen. I went into the video settings in Plex Media Server for each video playing and tried to move the slider bar to correct it and it won’t. The same video, now plays “sideways” in the web browser too, instead of stretching. This is a new NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019 device and I have set up Plex using all of the defaults. Can someone help? I’d like to see my thumbnails in my Home Videos library correct (instead of sideways) and also for the video to play as it used to, in the correct orientation “vertical” and with black bars on the sides. I have lots of iPhone videos like this. I know that Turing the phone vertically is best when recording video so that it maximizes your video to play at 16:9, but I have lots of videos from people in the family who record vertically.
