Just to clarify it does work really well, the biggest issue they have is channel duplication with Roku and Android that I have found. And they won’t acknowledge it, especially if you paid a lifetime subscription you’re pretty much dead to them. I even offered to help with a donation to fix the problem and was completely ignored. So I’m team green now and in the future if Plex can become a more involved with its users again I will be back!
Update, maybe I talk too soon I just got private messaged by an employee hopefully this gets fixed!
It really isn’t a DVR unless it timeshifts properly IMO. If I pause the game and go eat a sandwich or use the head and can’t continue 20 minutes later without completely losing my place then it’s really just a recorder.
WMC set the bar, Channels DVR is well on its way to exceeding that, if it hasn’t already. I can even rewind quickly on controversial plays to see minor details then quickly catch up.
Yes, my needs aren’t typical, but for sports Plex and Emby really fail miserably.
