The security firm Checkpoint announced that a number of common media players are vulnerable to hackers using a malicious subtitle file to take control of a computer. They also note that sites like OpenSubtitles.com can easily be manipulated to place the malicious files at the top of search results, potentially leading to automatic downloading by Plex.
