Is there a problem with the email confirmation system?

Brand new member, just signed up. :slight_smile:

My account indicates : “You have not confirmed your email address yet. Click here to resend confirmation email.”

I can request the email and it does arrive, but the confirmation link in the email is just https://plex.tv/users/confirmation which takes you to a page whereby you can request the email again. One would expect a unique link that takes you to a page that confirms your email address.

  1. Is there a problem with the system generating the confirmation links?
  2. Is there another way to confirm the email address?

(This is happening on my fiancé’s account too, so the problem does not appear to be specific to me.)

You need to be logged into plex.tv before you click the link. So make sure you have a web browser session open and logged in on the device you are confirming the link from.

Thanks for reporting! We had indeed an issue with the confirmation system but it should be solved now. You can try to resend the email again using the link in the account, ensuring you are signed in as MovieFan.Plex mentioned.

We do see something wrong there. I have gone ahead and manually confirmed your emails. The devs are working on a fix. Thanks for the report
