For example, I have 2 libraries. One is “Movies”, the other is “3D Movies”.
If both libraries are enabled to show on the dashboard, they just group together under “Recently Added Movies”. I don’t want this, I want to be able to have a separate list that says “Recently Added [insert Library name here]” and create my own.
The last I can see any discussion about this was a year ago, anyone have any ideas if this is even being considered as an option and/or a way to have this work with some tinkering?
Yes, I couldn’t agree more. If more time was dedicated to the more simple practical sides (and requests) of what users want instead of pumping out a lot of stuff that very few will ever use it would be so much better. The Recently added title should be changed to ‘Recently added…but be quick folks’. I have a 4K Section and also a 3D and like a previous poster mentioned there is nothing to distinguish these movies from other movies in the Recently added section so if someone sees a recently added ‘new’ movie they have no idea what format it is and then complain why it won’t play on their respective platforms. Likewise as most of us do is move movies from one drive to another to create space or add extra hdd’s for more capacity. Again when we do this all the (old) movies you move around come to the front of the Recently added and knocks anything else way back out of sight. I am just about to move over 500 Disney movies to a new hdd but I know the recent half dozen new movies I added yesterday will be lost to the attention of users within hours of being added. This is such an irritating arrangement at the moment on the Dashboard. So come on Plex please do something about this. Either allow another Row/Library/Tab…whatever to be manually added on the Dashboard or at least add the option of locking the most recently added movies/tv shows to the front, and most importantly some way of indicating the format of what is being Recently added.
