Is there any plan for creating an app for Panasonic players, e.g. UB-820 or UB-9000? The hardware is phenomenal even if the software is a bit rubbish.
The reason for my request is, as I understand it, some players e.g. Apple TV, do support Dolby Atmos sound on Plex but only if it’s DD+ variant, not TrueHD. Would something like a UB-9000 allow full quality playback of both video + audio?
There is no Plex app for blu-ray Players, and it’s very much not expected that there ever will be, considering that physical disc players are falling out of use due to streaming.
If you look for a client device which allows you to bitstream all modern audio codecs, and supports full UHD Blu ray quality files, get an Nvidia Shield Pro.
