Keeping library intact when drive letters change

I’m a video editor who works from home. My PC functions as both a professional tool and a personal one. For my entertainment, I have all my movies on one hard drive and all my TV shows and music on another. The problem is that in my line of work, I am constantly plugging in multiple hard drives for various reasons, and even though I have a multi-port dock, I still run out of ports and have to pull out my entertainment drives to make room for other drives I am plugging in for work. The issue is that when I do this, then later re-plug my movie and TV drives, the letters of those drives change to something else. It’s easy enough for a human to see the name and not care enough about the letters, but unfortunately all the media goes offline in Plex when the drive letters change. I know I can just change the letters back in windows, but is there a way to make plex look at drive names instead of letters?

You might be able to make Windows do this for you:

Plex can’t keep up with drive letter changes.
In Windows you can assign drive letters to USB drives.
Search for “Disk Management”.
Right click on your Movies and TV Shows drives and assign them drive letters high in the alphabet.
S: & T: maybe?
This should prevent other drives from taking over their drives letters.

You will have to change the Plex libraries after this though.
