last play date

can the devs add two fields to the DB? Last Play Date and Play Count. Same as iTunes.

then display on the client window for each item.

This would be awesome then i could query the DB and remove items that no one watches

These are in the database already. These are not shown in the web page or any client directly. You can view this if you look into the xml.

Ouch, this should be presented to me, at least in a sort of advanced view without having to fiddle through files I may not even be able to access on all the devices the client runs on.

This is one of the things that’s really holding me back from using Plex.

There is a sort filter for date viewed so you can see what was watched recently, it just doesn’t tell you the exact date.

I realize that this is an old topic, but i could really use this feature.

There is a popular feature request for audio book support, with all kinds of sub requests about how it should work. But i really only need a last played date.

I have one particular podcast that i download, and because it’s scholarly discussions, i go back and listen to them often. But if i then switch over to music, it’s really tough to go back to the podcasts and remember where i was. I don’t even care about remembering my position in the last podcast - i just want to know which episode i was listening to. Instead, i have to hunt and peck and find it by trial and error - click on one and jump around through the 90 minute track, trying to remember if this is the one i was listening to or if it was the previous. Or was it the next one? I have a list of probably 200 episodes, so if i was last listening to one in the middle of that list, it’s tough to find.

I suppose i could sorta track my listen count by marking each episode as 1 star, and then adding a star each time i go back through. But that’s a bit of a pain.
