Plex is a great media player but the discovery/social aspect is still rather lacking (despite automated recommendations). Could the developers look into integration with Letterboxd? It has a great Apple TV app and it would be great if we could launch movies in Plex from within the Letterboxd app.
Letterboxd are open to third-party integrations with their API.

Plex doesn’t need a “social” aspect.
Discovery, I’d be more open too, not convinced Letterboxd would provide that service however, they’re more about ratings and writing ironic reviews about society that briefly mention a movie.
Auto-creating a list of my Plex movies on my Letterboxd account would save me countless hours. Please do this!

Discoverability is one thing, but syncing lists, reviews and especially ratings is something I’d love to see. The ultimate thing would be to log viewings in Plex onto Letterboxd but that’s probably a little bit too elaborate.
I’m fairly bummed to see that this request is two years old but I’m chiming in anyway. I’d really like to be able to import Letterboxd lists to Plex as collections, use Letterboxd as a recommendation engine for other movies on my server, and for my users to synchronize their viewing with their Letterboxd account.
Upvote!!! Longtime Plex user, new Letterboxd user (no judgements, please), and the two seem like a match made in movie lover heaven. I would love to have the ability to integrate Letterboxd’s ratings, reviews and watched/unwatched status into my Plex collection. Can you imagine if Letterboxd knew what I had on my Plex system and could launch movies right from there like it can do for other services? Swoooon!

I’d like to see in the Plex app whether I’ve watched the film, when did I watch it, and the rating I gave it. That would be awesome!
Well there’s been a long time feature request for Trakt on the “if watched, when watched and rating given” side of things.
Sadly that has never felt the love from Plex either.
Just here to say I’d love this too - would really like to sync my watched lists/ratings between Letterboxd and Plex.
I echo all of this. Especially with the newly-released “Watchlist” feature in Plex, I’d love to sync my Letterboxd watchlist into Plex’s watchlist.

While I’d love all the deeper integration ideas above, I’d settle for just adding Letterboxd as a ratings source alongside the existing two. I generally find Letterboxd ratings to more accurately reflect cinephile opinion compared to the more populist alternatives.
For fancier deep integration, pulling in reviews from users I follow on Letterboxd would be great.
Chiming in here to add my Letterboxd integration wish list by priority:
Import or sync Letterboxd Watchlist w/Plex (since I maintain only one watchlist for movies - on Letterboxd - I would prefer this over import of Plex Watchlist to Letterboxd).
Sync (or import) Movies library in Plex with a list in Letterboxd.
Ratings sync would be nice, but for me not that important as I rate movies only in Letterboxd, not in Plex.
If you could use Letterboxd lists to make collections, that would be so cool. Like, import “Romantic Comedies” and it automatically adds all items on that letterboxd-list to that collection, including future additions to the plex library.
Fully hoping for this to finally become a thing. I can only see it be a very useful integration on many levels, including having your Letterboxd Watchlist available in Plex.
Not to mention that it’d be useful to fill in the rating on one platform and having it set on both platforms.
