Would it be possible for Plex to scan for content in date order rather than alphabetically? This would mean new items are added immediately and would be much quicker when scanning large libraries on network shares.
There could even be a scan option to only look inside directories with a modified timestamp newer than a certain number of days?
It takes me about 10 minutes to scan 1500 dirs on a network share currently.
