Hell . I have a friend who owns a paid for lifetime plex pass who now finds himself moving out of country, needing money and having to sell off his unused electronics. He offered to sell me his plex pass to help him with getting necessary cash on hand for his move. Is this allowable? If I purchase it from him he obviously has this linked to an existing account, email, etc. Will I be able to change all of that as while i trust him I have no idea if anyone else also may have access to this pass. I just want to be sure it is only relinked to my account to prevent unauthorized access to my media. Any advice is appreciated before I pay him for this.

We do not support transferring Plex Pass subscriptions from one account to another, nor do we encourage or condone transferring ownership of an existing account from one person to another. What you do is, of course, your choice.

What if it’s between your own accounts?
I had an account set up for me long before I had adequate internet speed to link to other servers.
Then made the error of getting a Plex Pass attached to my other email address.
